Victims of Ship Sunset Ceremony in Bali Home from Ngaben

Denpasar - 11 passengers were killed when Sri Offers traditional boat sank in the waters of Fortune Nusa Lembongan, Bali. The victim was apparently on his way home after the ceremony in the village of mountain spur Ngaben Stone, Nusa Lembongan.

The victims who drowned were members Sekaa angklung (traditional Balinese gamelan group). They are citizens of the village of Toya Pakeh, which followed the ceremony Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan Ngaben.

"All the victims were Sekaa gong after attending Ngaben," said Waters Directorate Bali Police Police Commissioner Police Agoes Doeta Soepranggono in his office, the Port of Benoa, Denpasar, Wednesday (09/21/2011).

Agoes explains, victims mountain spur leading to the village of Stone. Ngaben after attending the ceremony, the victim plans to return to Toya Pakeh, at 3:20 pm, Wednesday (09/21/2011).

Agoes added, it is not certain the cause tenggelamnnya ship. "The data is still confusing in the field," he said.

Of the 35 victims of drowning, as many as 11 people were killed, 11 survivors and 13 victims are still in the search.
